Privacy notice for Stip: Number Bonds to 20

Last updated: 1 November 2026

Stip: Number Bonds to 20 works entirely on your own device. There is no account, the app does not connect to the internet, and there are no adverts and no tracking. What your child does in the app never reaches us.

1. Who makes the app?

Stip: Number Bonds to 20 is an app by Stipio, a brand of Selectiv Media in Utrecht, the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce number 30228292). Full company details are on the contact page. Questions about privacy can be sent to [email protected].

2. What data does the app use?

To keep track of what your child can already do, the app stores a few things. They stay on the device and are not sent anywhere.

3. The internet, Apple and Google

The app does not connect to the internet and contains no third-party code that sends data. Stip’s voice, the pictures, the games and the questions are all inside the app. There are no links out of the app. If you print a colouring page from the Stip book, it goes through your device’s print function to your own printer.

You download the app from Apple’s App Store, and Apple’s privacy policy applies to that. If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers on your device, Apple sends us crash reports and usage figures without names. You can turn this on or off under Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.

On an Android device, you download the app from Google Play, and Google’s privacy policy applies. If you have turned on sharing under Settings › Google › Usage & diagnostics, Google sends us crash reports and usage figures without names.

Apple and Google are themselves responsible for their stores and for these reports. Data may also be transferred to the USA; both companies take part in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Nothing is transferred by us to countries outside the EU.

4. If you email us

If you email us or use the contact form, we use your name, email address and message only to reply to you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering questions (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and UK GDPR). The contact form sends the message through Brevo to our mailbox at Hostinger, both in the EU. Once your question has been dealt with, we delete the email. You don’t have to give us any data, but without an email address we cannot reply. We make no automated decisions and create no profiles.

5. How long is the data kept?

For as long as the app is on the device. If you delete the app, the names and progress are gone. If you back up your device (to iCloud, Google or a computer), the progress is included in that backup, which you manage yourself.

6. Children

The app is made for children in Year 1 and Year 2. That is why there are no adverts, no in-app purchases and no links out of the app. The settings for parents are behind a lock: to open them, you first answer a sum.

7. Your rights

Because the data is only on your own device, it is in your hands: you change it in the app and delete it by deleting the app. We have no copy. If you have emailed us, you can ask to see, correct or delete that data, and you can object. For questions or complaints, email [email protected]. You can also complain to the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) in the UK, or the Data Protection Commission in Ireland.

8. Changes

If the way the app handles data changes, for example because a feature that uses the internet is added, we will update this notice before that version is released. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
